Sharks play an essential rol in the health of our oceans

Information, News, Research

De paashaai bracht veel eieren!

On April 1st the weather was not too good. So we were really happy that around 50 people showed up for our eggcase hunt.

Some people came prepared!

After a short presentation in Futureland, showing eggcases and handing out the ID-guides, we made two walks on the Maasvlakte, and found around 50 eggcases of sharks and rays.

A number of eggcases will be examined at the laboratories of Blue Linked (www.bluelinked.nl) for predation marks.

Thanks to ever participant, and we hope to see you next year!
Each registration helps us to find breeding grounds and get more knowledge about shark and ray populations.
